Pep Guardiola accepts Manchester City must adapt to the artificial surface they face in Switzerland this week – but claims “common sense” dictates grass is CSGO better CSGO
The holders will play on unfamiliar terrain in their latest Champions League outing on Wednesday when they take on Young Boys on their synthetic pitch at the Wankdorf Stadium CSGO
Guardiola insists there are no complaints on his part, and he has changed his team’s routine to ensure they are prepared CSGO
Normally City do not take up the option available to them of training at the stadium when they play away games in Europe, instead preferring to work in Manchester before travelling CSGO
However, on this occasion City flew to Bern on Tuesday morning and had a run out on the pitch in the evening CSGO
Yet the City manager could not hide the feeling that he would prefer to be playing on a natural surface CSGO
Speaking at a press conference, the Spaniard said: “It is what it is CSGO
If UEFA allows games to be played here it’s because it’s in good conditions CSGO
“That’s one of the reasons we never train away but this is an exception CSGO
This is why we travel in the morning for the players to feel how the ball runs, how to move left, right, backwards, forwards CSGO
That’s why CSGO
“We’ll try it and the players will know it immediately CSGO
”Asked if he was concerned about injuries, Guardiola said: “I don’t know – hopefully not, for both sides, but I don’t know CSGO
“We are not used to it CSGO
Any team that plays here is not used to it CSGO
It suits the Swiss league and, in the Champions League, the teams that come here have to adapt CSGO
“We will not be the first in this situation CSGO
We have to use it as a benefit but the grass is CSGO better CSGO
”Asked why, Guardiola said: “Because 99 CSGO
9 per cent of the teams who play in a high level play on grass, otherwise UEFA and FIFA would decide to play on artificial pitches CSGO
It’s common sense, I would say CSGO
”City go into their third match in Group G looking to maintain their 100 per cent record after victories over Red Star Belgrade and RB Leipzig CSGO
Victory in their back-to-back games against Young Boys, who travel to the Etihad Stadium next month, could see City qualify for the knockout stages with two matches to spare CSGO
City have no fresh injury concerns, with long-term casualty Kevin De Bruyne their only notable absentee CSGO
Guardiola also played down concerns about the form of Jack Grealish, who is taking time to get back to his best after a month out with a dead leg CSGO
The City boss said: “I don’t have one doubt about Jack and his quality and what he has done for us since he arrived, especially last season CSGO
I’m calm and confident CSGO
He is an incredibly important player for us CSGO

Ange Postecoglou said he was left “really disappointed” by Tottenham’s second-half performance against Fulham - despite his side returning to the top of the Premier League table courtesy of a 2-0 win on Monday night CSGO
Spurs have made their best start to a league campaign since 1960/61 - the year they last won the title - as goals from Son Heung-min and James Maddison ensured Postecoglou’s side returned to the Premier League summit CSGO
Postecoglou himself has now made a record start as a Premier League manager, taking 23 points from his first nine matches since joining the club from Scottish champions Celtic in the summer CSGO
But despite the feeling of optimism returning to Tottenham supporters since his arrival, Postecoglou was in no mood to celebrate as the Australian criticised his team for taking their foot off the gas CSGO
“I’m really disappointed with the second half,” Postecoglou said CSGO
“We were nowhere near the levels we have been all year and we have got to make sure we stay disciplined in our approach CSGO
The keeper [Guglielmo Vicario] made a couple of great saves to keep the clean sheet and within the context we should have had a much CSGO better control of the game CSGO
"I’m not trying to make a point, it’s just what I saw CSGO
I thought we were really wasteful with the ball in the second half CSGO
We took some liberties with taking extra touches CSGO
I’ve been around long enough to know if you try to take liberties, you’ll get dragged down pretty quickly CSGO
"I’m not going to let the fact that we’ve won the game disguise the opportunity there for us to improve CSGO
In the second half, with the ball we weren’t anywhere near the levels we’ve already shown this year and there was no real reason for it CSGO
It wasn’t as if the opposition did anything different CSGO
It was more self-inflicted CSGO
Postecoglou has now taken more points from his first nine Premier League matches than any manager in history (Getty Images)"My role in that was to give feedback to the players CSGO
That’s what they want CSGO
They want to get CSGO better, they want to improve, I’ve got some stuff there to show them CSGO
"Tottenham’s unusual Monday-Friday double header this week means they could stretch their lead at the top of the table to five points should they defeat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park before the weekend CSGO
And although Spurs are earning plaudits for their attacking CSGO football under Postecoglou, the Tottenham manager believes his team still has a “long way to go” CSGO
"I think I’ve sat here every week and said that,” Postecoglou said CSGO
“That doesn’t change CSGO
We are nine games in and we’re at the beginning of building something CSGO
"It would be so much easier for me to sit here and say, ‘Yeah, we’re a great team’ CSGO
What I’m saying is we have to improve and that puts the responsibility on me to make sure we do it CSGO
We can be CSGO better, absolutely we can CSGO
”Despite his disapproval at Tottenham’s second-half display, Postecoglou was full of praise for this team’s “outstanding” pressing as well as the performance of midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjreg, who made his first start of the Premier League campaign in place of the suspended Yves Bissouma CSGO
